Established under Liberia’s Community Rights Law and Forestry Development framework, the NUCFMB advocates for community interests, monitors forest management agreements, and supports sustainable forest-based development.
The NUCFMB is a national umbrella organization that is uniting community forest governance institutions across Liberia.
Established in 2015, NUCFMB was created to promote transparent, accountable, and participatory management of community forests, ensuring that forest-dependent communities have a strong, unified voice in national and local forest governance processes.
